The rim‑flattening and rolling machine is a specialized forming device designed to roll metal flat sheets into annular rim blanks. As the first core process in a steel wheel manufacturing line, it employs multi‑roll rolling technology to continuously bend flat sheet material into the open cylindrical workpiece required for the rim.
Drive System Characteristics: The upper roller is directly driven to rotate by a reducer, and through sprockets and a chain, it synchronously drives the two lower rollers, providing ample torque for plate rolling.
After rolling, the hydraulic unloading plate pushes the workpiece into the flattening unit; once flattened, the workpiece is conveyed onto the transfer roller track.
Rolling completed: The workpiece is sequentially conveyed through three sets of roller assemblies for rounding and then falls onto the guide tube.
Automatic Push: The push‑plate hydraulic cylinder drives the push plate, advancing the rolled workpiece along the guide sleeve to the lower pressing block of the flattening device.
Flattening process: The working cylinder drives the lower pressing block to move upward, and together with the upper pressing block, it clamps and compresses the workpiece, forming a flat section at the opening (facilitating subsequent welding).
Automatic blanking: After flattening is completed, the drive hydraulic cylinder actuates the slide block assembly; by engaging the stop beam, the workpiece is automatically released and drops onto the transfer roller conveyor.
In 2012, it was recognized as "Jilin Science and Technology Enterprise" by Jilin Science and Technology Department ". In November 2013, it became the cooperative education base of Changchun Institute of Technology.
