Equipment Purpose
The round‑out machine is specifically designed to restore the roundness of wheel rims that have been welded and subsequently subjected to planing and rolling. Thermal deformation during welding can cause the rim to become elliptical or irregularly distorted; the round‑out machine uses powerful compression to return the rim to its standard circular shape.
Working principle
Place the rim on the equipment’s worktable or on the positioning mold.
The hydraulic system drives the press head/die to apply pressure to the rim from multiple directions.
By applying one or more pressurization cycles, the rim metal undergoes plastic deformation to restore its roundness.
Note: Rim‑rounding machines for different vehicle types—passenger cars, trucks, and construction vehicles—vary significantly in their specifications. The pressure required for construction‑vehicle rims is much higher than that for standard passenger‑car rims. Equipment can be configured to meet specific requirements, with options for adjusting the nominal pressure as well as the diameter and effective length of the cylindrical worktable.
In 2012, it was recognized as "Jilin Science and Technology Enterprise" by Jilin Science and Technology Department ". In November 2013, it became the cooperative education base of Changchun Institute of Technology.
