Product Overview
This die features an integral structural design and is primarily used for the one‑step flaring and diameter‑expanding forming of steel wheel rims or agricultural vehicle rims. The monolithic flaring die applies a uniform radial expansion force directly to the blank via its rigid, integral cavity, making it well suited for high‑precision, small‑batch production, large‑diameter applications, or situations where exceptionally smooth surface finish is required.
Key Features
No evidence of lobation lines : Because the mold cavity surface is seamless, the inner and outer walls of the flared workpiece are smooth and even, with no sharp edges or seam marks, thereby eliminating the need for subsequent grinding.
Extremely rigid : The die is integrally forged (typically from Cr12MoV or H13), achieving uniform hardness after heat treatment and resisting deformation under high extrusion loads.
Excellent forming accuracy : Integral machining ensures the roundness and taper consistency of the die cavity; after flaring, the workpiece’s ovality can typically be controlled within ≤0.3 mm, with angular tolerance ≤±0.5°.
Long lifespan : There is no wear gap between active modules, resulting in more uniform wear across the entire working surface.
In 2012, it was recognized as "Jilin Science and Technology Enterprise" by Jilin Science and Technology Department ". In November 2013, it became the cooperative education base of Changchun Institute of Technology.
