Product Description
This product is a core forming‑tool assembly designed for use with spoke spin‑forming machines, comprising a mandrel (including upper and lower halves) and a spinning wheel. The mandrel serves as the internal cavity‑forming reference and positioning support during spoke spin‑forming, while the spinning wheel acts as the rotating tool that applies pressure to the blank. Under CNC control, these two components work in concert to precisely form cast or pre‑shaped spoke blanks into finished spokes featuring variable wall thickness and high strength, through a point‑by‑point spin‑forming process.
The mandrel is a forming reference die mounted on the spinning machine’s spindle, with an outer profile that matches the internal cavity shape of the finished wheel spoke. During the spinning process, the mandrel rotates at high speed along with the spindle and is subjected to the substantial radial pressure exerted by the spinning roller, thereby determining the final internal cavity geometry, dimensional accuracy, and coaxiality of the wheel spoke.
The spinning wheel (also known as a spin‑forming wheel) is a forming tool mounted on a wheel holder, functioning as a follow‑up “turning tool.” During machining, the spinning wheel rotates at high speed—either passively or actively—and, under servo‑system control, performs radial feed along a contour‑following path. It applies substantial localized pressure to the workpiece, which rotates with the mandrel, inducing continuous plastic flow and ensuring intimate contact with the mandrel.
In 2012, it was recognized as "Jilin Science and Technology Enterprise" by Jilin Science and Technology Department ". In November 2013, it became the cooperative education base of Changchun Institute of Technology.
