Product Overview
This die is specifically designed for the press‑fit assembly process of rim and spoke components in tubeless steel wheels. Within the “flaring → roll forming → expanding → press‑fit assembly” process sequence, the die performs an interference‑fit press‑assembly between precisely machined rims and spokes, ensuring accurate axial and radial positioning and providing a stable datum for subsequent riveting or welding operations. 。

Integrated Guided Press-Fitting : The upper die is equipped with guide sleeves and guide pins that precisely mate with the lower die’s guide bushings, ensuring that the coaxiality between the spoke and the rim during press-fitting remains within 0.3 mm, thereby preventing eccentric loading that could cause rim deformation or spoke misalignment.
Automatic spoke centering : The lower die’s locating core is equipped with a indexing and positioning mechanism (which mates with the spoke bolt holes), enabling automatic circumferential centering during spoke placement and ensuring that the positional relationship between the spoke bolt holes and the rim valve holes meets the requirements specified in the product drawings.
Circumferential positioning of the rim : The lower die is equipped with locating blocks or pins that align with the rim’s valve‑hole or weld‑mark, ensuring a single, precise circumferential position of the rim within the die and preventing misalignment of the valve hole after press‑fitting.
Precise control of interference fit : The mold closing height is designed to match the press stroke, and a limit block/limit post precisely controls the depth to which the spoke is pressed into the rim, ensuring that the relative dimensional relationships between the spoke and the rim—such as spoke offset and mounting distance—meet specification requirements.
Spring cushioning and anti‑cracking protection : Rectangular springs or nitrogen‑charged gas springs are built into the upper or lower die, providing a flexible cushioning effect during press‑fitting and preventing excessive interference forces that could cause edge cracking at the hub’s central bore or deformation of the spokes.
