This die is specifically designed for the expansion, diameter‑setting, and shaping operations of tubeless steel rims, serving as a critical expansion tool in the “three‑roll, two‑expansion” process. It employs a pyramidal‑drive mechanism: axial movement of the pyramid drives the expansion module to perform synchronous radial expansion, ensuring that the rolled rim blank conforms precisely to the die cavity and achieving final diameter setting, shape correction, and dimensional stabilization.

Pyramidal drive structure: Adopt Pyramid As the actuating element, the conical body features 12 to 18 precisely machined conical surfaces, each of which drives a corresponding expansion module. Compared with low‑polygon‑cone designs, this prismatic structure employs a greater number of expansion modules, achieves more uniform circumferential distribution, and delivers a more balanced expansion‑force profile.

Module synchronization expansion: The 12–18 expansion modules are radially and uniformly distributed along the frustum’s circumference; as the frustum advances axially, the modules, driven by the conical surface, move along the slide plate/slide rail. Synchronously expanding radially outward , ensuring uniform circumferential expansion of the rim.

Wedge-shaped fit and wear-resistant design: The expansion module and the pyramidal die face are joined by a wedge‑type fit; the mating surfaces can be inlaid with wear‑resistant strips or blocks, significantly reducing frictional wear and extending the die’s service life.

Centralized Lubrication System: Equipped with Automatic or manual centralized lubrication system , perform scheduled and metered lubrication on all sliding working surfaces (pyramidal conical surfaces, module slides, T‑slots, etc.) to ensure smooth expansion and contraction movements and to minimize wear and the risk of jamming.
